Mike Seifert Bio

Michael Seifert:  Former hammer, discus and 35# Weight thrower at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.  Mike was 1999 Div. III 35# Weight Throw National Champion and earned All-American Track and Field honors 4 times.  After graduating from UW-LaCrosse, Mike spent several years coaching throws at Hartland Arrowhead High School in Hartland, WI and was part of the coaching staff for the 2004 Division 1 Track and Field State Championship.  Mike's interest in the throwing events and track and field has continued long after his collegeiate track career which has led to the development and promotion of ThrowFarther.com.

Mike has been very fortunate to work with many great coaches and participate on many great athletic teams throughout his athletic career.  HIs athletic accomplishments include being a part of two Wisconsin Div. I Football State Championship teams, an NCAA III National Championship football team, 2 NCAA III National Championship track teams, has earned an individual NCAA III Track and Field National Championship and also has coached for a Wisconsin DIV I High School State Track Championship team.

Mike currently works as a manager for a technology risk consulting group at an audit and consulting firm in Wisconsin and has deep experience in Information Systems management, systems developement and information security and controls.

In Mike's free time he enjoys working out, working on ThrowFarther.com, boating, riding his motorcycle and doing any other activity available on the water.
